Education today, more than ever before, must envisage the dual objective - education for living and education for making a living. The most important ingredient in the pursuit of excellence in schools is learning to think independently and creatively. Children must learn to reason without prejudice, apply knowledge, analyze and make prudent decision. In a world bludgeoned with information, it is imperative that the young minds develop the ability to learn and adapt to new information. Thus in this highly technical era the paradigm shift must be made from 'what to learn' to 'how to learn'. Education is not a mere accumulation of facts and figures. Facts need to be cohered so that the mind learns to discern and discriminate, think and infer. We need to constantly look within ourselves, to rediscover our strengths and look outwards to assess our relevance in a fast evolving global educational world.
The year gone by at school has seen new pathways being traversed in the pursuit of excellence and realization of goals. It has been our earnest endeavour to provide an instructional environment conducive to optimizing the potential of each child. We have embarked on new ventures to make school life enriching and meaningful. Among our new initiatives, inclusive education has been of immense support to the students in the programme, apart from sensitizing the mainstream students to the fact that children with special needs have immense potential to achieve excellence.
We would like to groom our students to become all round leaders, confident, knowledgeable and creative; leaders who are open and imaginative, yet rooted and grounded in traditions and key values of passion, perseverance, integrity and pride. Apart from scholastic achievements we would also like to focus on the demeanour and positive attitude of the pupils.
The scope for further activities is wide and varied. As a single and united team I feel confident that a great deal can and will be achieved. We shall always be committed to imparting education in the widest sense and shall strive to develop and maintain the highest possible standards in student learning.
